Café

I'm exhibiting again! In the beautiful Café Soleil. Here you can enjoy the Soleil's delicious homemade drinks and dishes in a cozy atmosphere with vintage flair in the sun-drenched Soleil. I am honored that my paintings, together with those of artist Kristina Bloch, will now hang in this beautiful setting for four months. For the first time, many of the paintings on display will be for sale.

My art deals with the physical and mental experience of human existence. It reflects the facets of life through my eyes, which makes it chaotic, colorful and emotional.

My art doesn't want to please, it wants to make the inside tangible on the canvas in an expressionistic way. It wants to be thought-provoking, but above all it wants to be felt.

My name is Jennifer Glinka and I am an artist from Aachen. Creatively inclined since childhood, I found my way to painting in 2018. As an original writer, I recognized in painting a way to do justice to the intensity and complexity of some feelings, thoughts and visions in expression - where language reaches its limits.

Deconstruction of humanity

Vernissage: 26-28.01.2024

Raststätte Aachen: Lothringerstraße 23, Aachen

The exhibition Deconstruction of Humanity presents my first own exhibition: a collection of abstract paintings focusing on the exploration of human emotions as a social being. The question of the essence of humanity is thrown into relief through an abstract world that illuminates the complexity of human nature. As an artist, I have realized that my artistic journey is based on a philosophical world of contemplation that always focuses on the essence of human existence. I have tried to capture and reflect these complex thoughts/questions, the answer to which can only be a feeling, in my paintings.

Sonntags

Matinée

Selbstportrait

I was able to exhibit my art for the first time as part of the Sunday Matinée event at the 'Raststätte' cultural space. The organizers brought together some great artists under the theme 'Self-portrait', who brought their respective visions of a self-portrait into the world using different media and materials according to their art and craft and realized them in a room. I brought my vision to the canvas with palette knife and acrylic and aesthetically accompanied the painting with poems that I wrote during the creation process.

Chaotic, raw, rebellious

My art does not want to please. It wants to express. It wants to disturb the eye and touch the heart. It wants to reflect and contract turmoil. It wants to scratch and soothe. It is liberation and empowerment.

Creating closeness and distance at the same time is my art. A contradiction of sensuality and reason.
